About Neighborhood Services, Inc.

Neighborhood Services Inc. (NSI) is the only food and clothing pantry for the OSU Campus area. They serve an average of 1700 of OSU's neighbors each month with food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance. 31% of these people are children, 14% are elderly, and 10% are homeless. In addition to this they provide special seasonal programs which include Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, school supplies and new clothing, Christmas toys, and Easter baskets. The work of NSI is done primarily by volunteers with almost 93% of their budget going towards the services they provide.

About Tau Beta Pi

Tau Beta Pi is the national engineering honor society. The Ohio Gamma chapter at OSU is one of 220 chapters around the country. Members are in the top one-eighth of their junior class or the top one-fifth of their senior class and in the College of Engineering. In addition to recognizing the academic success of our members, Tau Beta Pi is also very active as a service organization. Each year we sponsor numerous service events ranging from this charity run to work with Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, and local retirement homes.
